About the N.E.E.T. P.G. examination?
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduation (N.E.E.T. P.G.) is an entrance exam that is conducted for providing admission in the postgraduate courses like Master of Medicine (M.D), Master in Surgery (M.S.), Master of Dental Surgery (M.D.S.), or P.G.-Diploma in colleges of India. The examination is conducted once a year by the National Board of Examination (N.B.E.). N.E.E.T. P.G. score is also considered for providing admission into the M.B.B.S. D.N.B. courses. Candidates should have completed M.B.B.S. studies from a recognized college or institution. They should have a provisional/permanent registration certificate provided by the Medical Council of India (M.C.I.) or State Medical Council (S.M.C.). On average, the cut off will be 50% for general category candidates, and 45% for general – Physically Handicapped (P.H) category candidates, and 40% for S.T., S.C., O.B.C., & Reserved – P.H. category candidates.

Medical Counselling Committee (M.C.C) has revised the counselling process for the N.E.E.T P.G examination. Candidates have to register again if they need to appear for participating in the second round of counselling. The M.C.C organizes the seat allotment list for the N.E.E.T. P.G. examination. Counselling is conducted for three major seats like 50% of All India Quota seats, Armed Forces Medical Services (A.F.M.S.), and Deemed & Central Universities.
